I have done my final run week 9, run 3. But it was so special and poignant. Fate took me all the way to the south coast (350 miles) to drop my 82 yr old aunt home after she had been up for a friends party. Was going to leave my run, but I found myself outside my grandparents house that I visited in the 1970s and 80s. I adored my grandad and he always encouraged me so ..... running gear was in the car .. I got changed and ran two of the dog walk routes we always did when I went to stay. I felt like my grandad was with me and I did it, ran the full 30 mins and covered 5k .... and enjoyed it so much. It’s odd how things work out. For anyone on the journey, keep going, it’s an amazing feeling when you finish.
