Week 4 run 1

Wow, I actually prefer the long runs to the short runs. I feel like I do better on these long ones, compared to the short ones where I’d have to pause. I am knackered tho, managed to do 3K in this run. Not bad!

Slow and steady as you go and try not to focus on distance too much ) Well done!

yep know that thought I felt exactly the same. The stop start runs really made my legs heavy, but go easy it does hike up as you go on and last night all I wanted to do was stop as it seemed relentless...but gritted my teeth...You are doing really well ENJOY

You are doing so well! You're not alone in preferring the continuous running. Not long now till you get to do that all the time. :)

It's funny that in week 1, running is running. By the time you get to the end of the programme you start to be able to feel different places of run and to consciously engage different muscles when you are getting tired. Amazing!

Keep it up - we're all so proud of you!

I’ve just come in from doing the same run! I agree the longer runs seem a bit easier than I thought, and the stopping and starting sometimes well only sometimes you think oh I’ll just walk this one...... I know I have read all the horror stories of the 20 minute run but I think I will quite enjoy it. The programme is working us up to getting to be able to do it, so bring it for next week!
