Well, how can 25 minutes be so bloomin long? When Laura said, you've now been running for 5 minutes it seemed like 15 to me! However, I ploughed on, it didn't seem too bad and completed the 25 minutes this time. I couldn't help it, I had a great big grin across my face - I'd done it 25 minutes non stop. Bones ache a bit now, knees and hips, but apart from that I'm fine.

Even now when she says you have been running for 5 mins and will have settled into a rhythm , I think, what are you talking about! I never feel like I am getting anywhere till the bell rings an I have done more time than I have left. Well done, I have been through the program twice now and it is always hard leaving the split runs behind. Nearly there, keep at It!

I gather its a good idea to just use landmarks ahead of you that are always coming towards you so you are thinking about that rather than the time. If you can plan a route that you know the distance of and you run it several times you can start using little landmarks like the red door on that house, that bin, that shop etc and as they are coming towards you its more motivating than waiting for the minutes to tick by!!
