Good afternoon runners!A bit of a sleep in this morning (7amπ) before I was out running after a few days rest.
25 minutes for the first run in a few days felt a bit daunting but I knew I'd do it if I remained slow and steady.
Also decided to time my running on the Garmin for the first time since starting again. Data in photo.
As you can see a full minute per km slower than I used to be but that's on purpose, not trying for speed yet just building strength and stamina.
A steady 4k in 25 minutes and I'm happy with that.
Didn't have the urge to run further at the end and was actually happy to cross the finish line and slow to a walk, could have ran longer but I was starting to feel it.
Wednesday morning next planned run, I think we'd and Friday runs are just repeats of this so may leave it until Friday for next report.
Hope you are all well, happy running!

Thank you! Pace is relative I suppose, slow compared to how I ran before π. It's weird as I know I have that extra gear there but not sure il ever be able to use it again.
Thank you! I do, this run I had a playlist on YouTube music called 80s sing-alongs! An absolute cheese fest π but they put a smile on your face as you run. My music taste is wide and varied so I usually change it up every couple of runs depending on my mood.
We are on holiday Up North this week. On one of our trips out yesterday in the car, I put on 80s essentials on iTunes. I told my children βWelcome to the 80βs kids!β π
Also discovered my OH mainly hated that decade of music π±
We are still talking (just) π but agree with you so many good tunes from the 80βs.
My 6yo requested We will rock you! As he absolutely loves that song. It may be from the 70s that one, but Iβm chuffed my kids like most of the music I play π
Kids liking Queen means your doing something right ππ»π
Partner hating 80s music COULD be grounds for divorce however ππ
You visiting anywhere nice up here? The weather's taken a bit of a turn for the worse very windy, I think in going to stay tucked up at home wrapped up in a duvet π
ππ OH isnβt northern like me, so he was already on shaky ground to start with π€£
Yes got a few good day outs planned whilst we are here and going to see my dad too one day too. We did Forbidden Corner yesterday. If I remember rightly you have little kids too? If so and you have never been I can recommend it if you ever visit Yorkshire Dales. Adults and kids love it, itβs a great day out.
Iβm basically showing my Yorkshire roots to my children whilst Iβm here. A few walks down memory lane too for me. They love it here too.
Weather is a bit iffy but we will plan some indoor stuff as well. Enjoy your duvet day π
