Only one sore knee?

Why do I only have one sore knee? Did w 2r3 last night and took it slow and focused on how I ran and it hasn’t gotten any worse but I’m left wondering why one leg is fine and the other one is sore and stiff...

Does it mean I run wonky?

Maybe, I do!

Have you had gait analysis? the correct shoes make all the difference. 🤩

Everyone runs 'wonky' a bit. We are only symmetrical on the outside. I am quite asymmetrical in the torso, with my navel pointing to the right a little.

I have the same problem, my right knee gets some pain after a long run, but not the left. And I noticed after yesterdays long run that my right hip was sore, but the left not. Happily for me the ache goes before the next run, and if it doesn't Ibuprofen Gel fixes it.

If it is extreme, as Jell6 says, then the best answer is probably better shoes.

Morning 😊. As above gait analysis if you haven't already had one. I would think about getting it checked out to find out what's causing it, sports therapist would be my first stop rather than Dr. Otherwise try doing lots of hamstring and hip flexor stretching as they can affect your knees. Hope you get it sorted quickly 🏃🏽‍♀️😊

All of the above, plus if you run on the road you may find that the camber puts you a bit wonky as well.

Knee strengthening exercises will help:

It’s all that hopping you did when no one was looking! 😂

I would just be thankful it isn’t both! 😃

Thank you everyone - I haven’t had a gait analysis as it’s just not possible at the minute (I run at night once baby is asleep!) but I have well researched new shoes. I think the road has a lot to do with it as it’s very uneven. But I will be doing some strength work for sure.
