Impossible is temporary

Just wanted to share this with anyone who's feeling daunted by the plan in general or a specific run:

When I first started C25K, I remember looking on Google maps and also searching for parks near me. There was a park that had lovely photos and glowing reviews...It looked perfect for running.

But it was 2 miles away. With my running ability, I wouldn't even get there before having to turn back and head home. So I put it out of my mind and stuck to nearby roads and one little trail.

Until this weekend, when I suddenly remembered the park again. Thanks to C25K and some slow and steady distance building post graduation, it didn't seem so far away any more. I ran there, ran all round the park, and ran home again and it was so well worth the wait.

So, if your next run seems impossible, please take heart. Persist, and you will astonish yourself.

Lovely. What a good observation to keep in mind 👏🏼 And it’s made me think about where my nearest park is.... 😄

All good things come to those who wait... actually that’s not quite right... all good things come to those who work! Fantastic story... and great running.

Great post Runip. It will help others with their progression 😁. Hope you are well and it sounds like you are still loving your running

Great post. I think sometimes we forget how well we are doing - for those finding it hard on Week 4, it's still easy to forget how hard that first run was, or for those finding 28 minutes daunting, perhaps Week 6 run 1 caught them by surprise.

How wonderful that you can now run 2 miles to a nice park, run around it, and run 2 miles back home! Kudos to you and to C25K :)
