So i obviosuly recorded and saved my runs but it doesn't tell you the distance covered each run?? I can't rely on my fit bit as I wear it all day... Thinking I may need to activate my Strava at the same time as my couch to 5k app??

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Enjoy your journey.
The Strava app runs along side c25k and your music with no problems
Any tracking app is compatible... but the distance really doesn’t matter.
My Fitbit, Strava, music and the C25k app run all together on my phone so I would think you would be ok. Although I guess it does depend on your phone.
I suspect that you can tell your Fitbit that you are starting a run & it’ll record the distance that you run. Remember to tell it when you’ve stopped.
Strava is fab for this free app for the basic stuff.x
Another fun app to try is relive. I've ran Strava, relive and C 2 5k all at once on a run. I like them for distance and pace
I use the App Map my Run too(free) as I leave the house I start 3 Apps! Couch, Spotify and Map my Run....easy to use and then I record all my stats in my journal after the run (sad person that I am!)
Yes, I turn on my Strava when I start the running part (I just graduated) so I know how far I'm running in 30minutes. C25k, apple music and Strava all run fine at the same time on my Samsung phone.
I use Fitbit. You need to open the app on your phone and start it tracking. As MarkyD has already said, remember to end the tracking when you finish. I find it really helpful, especially when you get onto the longer runs or if you want to look at your pace, etc. I used to carry my phone but now use a running belt and stow it away. There is also the app Mapometer which can record your runs but you can also use it to search for run routes that other people have shared. I have found this useful for planning new routes now I am running further.
You guys are amazing thank you so much for all the feedback!! Today I ran with a friend so didn't use deezer (music app) but did use my Strava and C25K... I really thought I was going to struggle with running but I am absolutely loving it and I'm already excited for my next run on Saturday 😀
Im on W6 and I've just started using Strava - it seemed to be the best reviewed free (the basic version anyway) running app for Android. Gets a bit fiddly remembering to start music app, then Strava then C25k but getting the hang of it now. Quite surprised that by including the warm up and warm down walks plus a bit extra walking i recorded 4.5km one day. Makes me optimistic that I might actually get to 5k!!
