Increasing distance again

Well after getting my new shoes and all the excitement that goes with that it has taken me a few weeks to break them in. At one point I was almost at the point of taking them back but knew in my heart of hearts that they would be fine once they had adapted to my bunion and if I exchanged them then I would only have to start over exactly the same process with another pair. As always I felt loathe to get them wet the first time round but that was exactly what they needed and now after several soakings and stretching they have become more comfortable so I am now back to increasing distance again. In reality it was a timely choice as it coincided with Tomas's advice to ease back a bit and have a more restful week before doing another long distance so it has worked well. Just took slightly longer than I would have liked.

Added to that I succumbed and bought myself that early birthday present so I now have a brand new Garmin so if anybody fancies connecting with me I'm still down as Hilbean :D

Happy running all :)

Oh and a huge thank you to Adam_B for letting me know about the sign up for the Anglesey HM next year. Duly signed up for on the opening date :D

Blimey hilbean you're really going for it aren't you? There's no stopping you now! I have a Garmin but have not yet succumbed to the great Garmin Connect world because I just know I wouldn't get anything else done in my life!

Good luck with the HM training and I look forward to reading all about it.

Bril H. I'm still on the bench waiting for my hip to mend. I didn't know about the garmin connect. Will have to take a look when I get going again.
