You have nothing to fear, the plan is very carefully planned and you can do this if you follow the advice and stick to the schedule. It is more mental than physical. Get you head around the task in hand and go for it - at a steady pace!!!!

Hi Gingeral57

No need to worry about week 4. Like you, I was concerned about what seemed like a huge step up. I read as many of the posts on the forum as i could find for tips and inspiration. The one comment that kept popping up was slow down. I thought I was going as slow as I could but I managed to find another low gear.....and it works! I couldn't believe how comfortably I ran week 4 run 1.

It really is just a mental battle . All the very best and let us know how it goes.

Thanks for the tip, slowed down at times and completed comfortably, not as hard as I thought it was going to be.

I’m in the middle of W4 and I always find the first run of the set is the worst then I start to get into the rhythm and it all settles into place. And the feeling of accomplishment is just great 👍🏻

(Actually I think I’m more of a shuffler than a runner but it’s still faster than my walking speed😉)

It is not bad, it is just another week in the training plan that you chose to follow.

Adjusting your mental approach could make all the difference healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

You can do this.

Well that was good, I’m beggining to look forward to running ,instead of thinking it’s something I should do its becoming something I enjoy doing.
