I only have 2 weeks to go before I graduate from C25K. Can anyone recommend a free 10k app? Want to start planning for the next step. Thank u!
Free 10k app? : I only have 2 weeks to go before... - Couch to 5K
Free 10k app?
Nike run club... free 5k, 10k, 15k, HM and marathon app!
Thank u for a quick reply!
No worries... that said, I’d use NRC to log Ju-Ju-‘s 10k plan from the Bridge to 10k forum on here first time around... it’s a great transition from C25K to a varied running plan.
The 5k Nike plan, for example, is about running a 5k race, C25K is about becoming a runner... same for the comparison between the 10ks
Just read ju jus plan and you have to start the plan at a specific time as she posts on a weekly basis. I will have to wait till Easter or even after that. Have I understood that correctly?
Well, she leads a group thorough one rotation at a time... but it could be followed from tomorrow as it’s there.
I think some of us "registered with JuJu's plan at a similar time, I started at week 3 or 4, because I was already doing those runs, so I finished ahead of time.
As UFN says, the plan is there to see, so graduate, consolidate for a few weeks and then give it a go.
It works extremely well 😊
Hi I'll probably be finishing around the same time, and also want to move into training for 10k. Found this an amazing experience never thought I'd have stuck it out. I would like a program to follow that is very similar to c25k. Good luck x
Yes that’s what I was hoping for. I don’t think the above are a like for like of C25K. If you come across anything better plz let me know.
The problem with following the same style as C25K is the time commitment... three 10K runs in a week is hard to fit around life. The ju-ju- plan starts to vary the runs up so you get to 10k safely and also have shorter runs that are easier to fit in. The Nike one does too, but is a bigger step away from C25K as it puts some focus on pace. Actually the Nike 5k plan gets you to 16k runs so that it can start to work on 5k speed... it’s probably better than the 10k plan on there in terms of reaching the distance.
Its not too long to Easter.
Initially after graduation I used the 10% rule, adding to time running. So 33,36,40,44 and then consolidate using parkrun as a guide to progression.
