I used to be a keen runner before I was hit with chronic Pericarditis 7 years ago and ultimately had to have a Pericardioectomy (5 hour open heart surgery procedure) two years ago. I’m now experimenting to establish if I can get back to running 30 mins without stopping. I’ve just completed week 2 run 1 of the couch to 5 k programme having completed week 1 last week. It’ll be interesting to see if I can get back to full fitness. I did complete cardiac rehab programme November last year. I’ll post an update here each week.
