Week 1 Run 2 Couch to 5k

I had my third baby 5 months ago, and have about 2 stone to lose. I have been far too lazy for far too long haha.

The first run was so tough, but my second run today i really enjoyed. My abs really ache, and my legs are sore.

I find myself running where no one will see me...does anyone else do this? ha i feel so self conscious of my red face and wobbly bits

Yes - I run on a country road so that I can't be seen! good for you getting out there. My baby fat is now 10 years old so you are well ahead of me!!

That made me smile :)

You cannot describe yourself as lazy with 3 children!

This is one of the recurring questions on this forum....Loads of people feel self conscious when starting. I ran in a very quiet spot for ages until one day I was away on business and ran ain a busy park. It was only when I got back to the hotel that I realised I hadn't even thought about being seen!

I Think you should do what you feel comfortable with but other people are likely to look at you with admiration- Non runners will think 'I really wish I could do that' and the runners will say 'well done to her'. Be proud, hold your head up high and give yourself a pat on the back for getting started :)

Run, where everyone can see you..... you should be so proud of yourself.. out there and rocking the run... :)

Take it very slow and take it very steady!! Onward and upward :)

I used to be really bothered about people seeing me but now I'm just proud that I can run for 5 minutes without stopping! You will probably find you care less about being seen the more you progress. Well done and good luck 🙂

Yep I think we all start of that way, frightened of people seeing us and being possibly the butt of some joke but as we progress our confidence blossoms and even though this is designed specifically designed for weight loss it does burn off fat

We don't have scales but I'm pretty certain I've lost over a stone and guess what my wobbly bits aren't wobbling the same
