A lot of folk find the same thing. Maybe the subconscious thinks it’ll be a doddle after 5:3 and sets us all off too fast ? Keep it slow and steady: you’ll be fine x

Its funny when i did week5 and week 6 around christmad time i found week 6 interval runs a killer. Hated them so much and then when it got onto the long run it was so mucb easier. I think its because you just get into the rhythm od your run and your slowing down to a walk again.

It's strange how many people say this. I didn't enjoy any weeks of walking intervals. Much better to keep running but can't explain why. It's all in the mind I think

I have to agree with you - having just finished week 6 yesterday. I found run 1 a bit of a slog and the 2nd was a little better but still clunky. I gave myself an extra rest day after that and Run 3 was great - felt like those 2 odd ones in some ways had a purpose !

It is weird that a lot of people share this experience but I like the idea that it is all part of the plan...run 2 tomorrow!
