Don't be scared of run 3 of week 5, trust the program Loopyman, you have done very well on getting to week 5, once you have completed run 3 of week 5 you will be very proud of yourself 😊. That is the run that makes you a runner although it's not until a later run that you officially become a runner.

Take it slowly and you will get there. This plan works. 🙂

Did you really only do 8 minutes??? I thought that you did two 8s with a brisk walk break... all of that was cardio... there’s no big step up... as far as your body is concerned it’s a step down. Trust the programme... believe in yourself... relax... start the run slowly... and just run it... it feels great at the end.

Thanks everyone - I think I was just shocked when I saw the 20 min run. I’ve competed it all up until now so yes I must keep positive.

I’m sort of looking forward to the challenge.

Thanks all

It’s a brilliant run. There are runners who graduated a long time ago who say 5:3 remains one of the highlights of their running memories. Trust the program, take it slowly, find your easy breathing pace and enjoy finding your ‘happy pace’ and realising you really can run 🙂

Thanks ktsok- I never ever thought I would actually enjoy this. I’ve always loved walking but my confidence is slowly building (still try to run in less busy times!) and I feel I can do this!! 😊
