A rather cold but glorious parkrun this morning - beautifully sunny and fresh (luckily mine wasn't cancelled where most of the ones locally were).

So delighted with myself that I treated myself... look at these Bobby-Dazzlers! Chosen to clash wildly with my blue and dayglo yellow trainers!

Week 5 next week - I'm so up for the challenge!

I have the same ones! I did hesitate with the bright yellow ones though...

So envious of your park run!

I didn't get the yellow as they would have gone nicely with my trainers and that would never do! :)

Exactly! I got my socks first and was quite disappointed when in the end the top I got matched. But saying that it’s also bright pink so probably flashy enough! People I see running near me have mainly black on, very boring!

I’m still that boring, all-black-wearing runner, haha!

Come on, you know you want to jazz it up ;-)

I do, actually, I just haven’t gone buying yet — still using the gear I started C25K in, which just happened to be all black everything! (My shoes are blue though, so there’s that, but I’m defo changing those soon — it’s about time I get tested for proper shoes!)

Maybe a coloured hat and then top and tail are colourful:-)

I thought of that but I'm too hot to run in a hat even when it's -6!

I don't have any other bright colours yet - I'm a bit on the large side to be drawing that much attention to my torso!

The vibrant colours might be a distraction, that’s what I hope in any case!

I now pull mine up over my leggings to make sure they are visible:-)

It was a lovely run today. Sunny but very cold.

Despite two pairs of gloves my fingers remained icy until about 4km.Then they suddenly warmed up!

But I have just found a lovely pair of lined waterproof mittens (black) in the charity shop so I hope to be warmer next week.

My slowest time for nearly a year, but I did enjoy it.

PS, like the socks.

Enjoyment is the key to it. :)

A little week 4 gift to myself. My week 5 gift is an afternoon in the pub. For week 9 I'm having an afternoon in the pub AND a Garmin! :)

Well done you 🎉🎉. Always think it's nice to treat yourself to something when you achieve a goal. My other half bought me some lovely Under Armour leggings and outer top at the weekend, he hasn't got the hang of Brights so they are rather sober but absolutely gorgeous to wear 😊. My week 5 starts Monday, Bring it On 🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️. Good luck and running for your Wk5 😊

I'm not buying anything fancy yet as I'm hoping I'll lose quite a significant amount of weight. But socks and shoes will always fit! :)
