Week 5 run 3!!

I did it... I can’t actually believe I’ve done it, and I did in -1 temperatures haha. This is the most amazing feeling ever. I felt like crying when jo said slow down, to anybody out there that thinks they can’t do this you absolutely can... I promise you it’s possible. Going to have a nice long bath now to thaw myself out, and a glass of wine to celebrate. I’m over the moon thank you C25K xxx

I’m on week 4 week 3 tomorrow! Worried about week 5 as you go from running 8 mins twice with a recovery walk in between to running 20 mins solid the next run. Nice to hear someone else could do it! Without sounding to personal, how fit were you before running the couch to 5k? I did nothing before starting this x

I was completely unfit, out of breath walking upstairs unfit. I never thought I’d be able to do this and yet here I am... you’ve just got to take it slow and steady like everybody says and slow down instead of stopping. I got a really bad stitch at the ten min mark and felt like I couldn’t go on but I slowed down took deep breaths and powered through. You will smash week 5 I know it. Good luck 😁. Xx

And I want to throw a massive shout out to jo whiley, without her in my ear I never would have got this far. X

A lot of people worry about 5:3 when there is no need - the programme has got you this far and it will take you further. Your legs are strong enough. Just take it slow and steady - and enjoy the feeling! For me, it was the first time I properly found a rhythm - before then, I’d looked to the walk sections as much needed recovery breaks. When the walks are removed, you have to slow down and just relax into the running. It’s an amazing feeling - don’t dread it 🙂

Enjoy that bath and wine, very much deserved... great running. Slow and steady into week 6 and you got this. Enjoy your evening and that next run.

Congratulations Rtaylor94 on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K Onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs. 🏃

Congratulations!!! W5R3 is my next one and before reading your post I was dreading it. I’m now looking forward to Friday.

Honestly you have nothing to fear... I thought for sure I wouldn’t make it round without stopping but you just have to know when to slow down a bit and recover. Just keep moving you’ll be fine 😁. X
