W1R1 at last!

PrincessMelisande profile image

Hi, I'm the newbie that asked about depression and anxiety motivation recently. I just completed W1R1 and even braved it on the snow! I can say I certainly have a long way to go, but we all start somewhere!😆

I live near a Sunday league football pitch so it's perfect for taking my companion Ludo without getting the car filthy!

I am using the C25K app, with the very soothing voice of Michael Johnson. Better so, I am away from traffic so didnt need headphones!😆

Brilliant!! I hope you enjoy it and it helps with your depression. Just take it slow and steady and don’t put pressure on yourself. Enjoy it 😁

It really helped with my depression, like limberlou says don't put pressure on yourself during the run, feel free to slow down. Enjoy it :)

Way to go getting out there and completing run one... that’s the biggest step up on this whole plan! I too use Sunday league pitches for a lot of my running, I like knowing who far I’ve run without looking or even waiting for my tracker to tell me. We certainly do all start somewhere and I get the feeling that you managed run one better than I did... I was super unfit and also ran it too fast... but I graduated this and so can you. Enjoy your journey.

As you said you have started which is the first and one of the most important decision you will ever make I think. My moods continually fluctuate but I can honestly say I always feel good after a run and chatting with Michael Johnson. I like to think he is talking to me exclusively 🤪Keep going and feel that fantastic sense of achievement 😊

I suffer with anxiety really bad.

I was a little delayed on doing w1r2 but did it today. Found it much easier but I did an indoor run today so thats prob why! Not as many layers on!
