So today I finally started! I am a middle aged, overweight woman and was never sporty but I am determined to do something to get fitter and healthier! It wasn't that hard. The worst bit was being self concious passing people in the park!!

Well done! Don't worry about those others, they're more self conscious because you're doing something and they're not. ๐Ÿ˜€

Well done!

Worrying about other people comes up really regularly. On the whole they are too wrapped up in what they are doing and almost all of the time that hasnโ€™t been the case it has been a positive comment or a smile.

Enjoy your next run!

A great start! In 9 weeks you will feel like a superstar! Keep on going.

We all feel a bit of a lemon when we first start, worried about what others might say. In reality nobody really notices you. Occasionally you will get a 'keep on running luv!' or a 'good morning' - it's really nice ! If you go out at the same time of day the regular dog walkers seem to enjoy saying hello.

Keep up posted. You're doing great.

Welcome Littlestar! Good work on making the first step...getting out and doing it! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Most of us probably felt the same but it passes as confidence grows.

Enjoy your running ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜

Donโ€™t worry about them. Youโ€™re doing it, they wish they had the courage! Besides, what other people think of you really is none of your business! Good luck with your running, follow the plan and donโ€™t look too far ahead through the weeks. ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ†

You sound just like me - middle aged & overweight! Iโ€™m not sporty but really glad of this programme as like you want to be as fit & healthy as I can be. Iโ€™m past caring what other people think & donโ€™t actually think anybody even notices me! Happy running ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

Don't worry - you are out there and not on the couch. Before you know it you will be smiling encouragement at women just like you who are wondering how you do it!
