Groin strain? Rest or not? Advice please

Slight niggle in left groin about 2/3rds into my last 2 runs. Not hurting but a slight discomfort. No problem with it after the runs until today. Again it’s nothing much, just a slight sensation of discomfort. My last run was Monday evening so I’m due one today. Normally I would take an extra rest day but I’m in work for 4 long days after today so limited opportunities for a run until Monday . That will be a week between runs. Advice please. Thanks x

I had a similar problem with my right hip that started last Wednesday. I didn’t have any extra rest day, running on Friday and Monday.

I think it would have been better stopping for a while, because the discomfort is going on. I’ll take some rest days now😕!

Aye and I'm further on than I was 10 weeks ago so I guess a few days rest won't hurt in the grand scheme of things

As a graduate, you should be absolutely fine taking a week, or even two off, and just resuming where you left off. Sounds like the work shifts are perfectly placed to rest that groin/hip. Go nice and gently next time out.

Listen to your body. Its giving you a hint.

Try doing some core exercises if you aren't already.

It’s right at the top of my inner thigh joint with pelvis. Really awkward place. I can’t strap it up, I can’t use deep heat there, I can’t massage it and when I rotate my leg out to try stretch it my joint clicks and that makes me queasy 😣
