I started couch to 5k in January. Currently I’m on week 8 but did my last run the Friday before last, due to the really windy weather. I’ve done a couple of strenuous fitness dvds, one of those was yesterday and today I’m really achey. I know you should leave a rest day between runs, but does the fitness dvd count too? Should I run today or wait until tomorrow??

I think you’d be fine to go out today, assuming you just have aches and no actual pain. You’ll probably find running loosens you up. 😀
Just take it slow and listen to your body.
Good luck! 👍

So long as the workout didn’t have much if any high impact (both feet off the ground together) work then you should be fine. Taking a rest day will also be fine.
