W1R2 hobble, hobble, totter, totter but I've done two sessions. Are there lots of older people doing this? Would like to compare notes please!

I did this (C25K) 5 years ago at age 67 - since then I have run and walked several thousands of Klms - am now training for my very first full marathon ( probably will be my first and last) as I am now 72 and have lost sight in one eye. I only wish I had discovered this and the running community 20 years earlier.

Congratulations Eucalyptus44 on starting C25K with week 1 run 1 and 2,

I began C25K 5 weeks before I was 72 and graduated 3 weeks after my 72nd birthday, there are many older people who have graduated than me, the oldest I have heard of is 83.

There is a man who is in his 90's who runs the Keswick Parkrun on a Saturday morning whose time is around 40 minutes in a fairly regular basis.

Wow, that’s inspiring! I’m but a spring chicken compared to that brilliant nonagenarian!

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and mentions an 83 year old graduate from a while back.

There are plenty here in their sixties and seventies.........age is a number.

Enjoy your journey.

Welcome from me too. I started last year just after turning 70, still running, absolutely loving every second. Has its moments of being tough, but us older ones are made of stronger stuff, aren't we? So we put it down to experience and carry on.

I've found running addictive, up lifting and certainly feel fitter and stronger for it. Proper running shoes are vital, warming up well before is vital too ... perhaps a little longer if you run outside in the current UK weather. Good nutrition and very important good hydration...keep the fluid intake up, even on the non-run days.

Enjoy your running, and don't not let anyone tell you are too old...it is so not true. Happy days, keep posting and let us know how you are doing. 🌻
