Ahead of me, beside the path I spotted a black dog poo bag standing proud on the grass about 20m away.
I was muttering to myself about irresponsible dog owners (NB I am a dog owner) leaving bags behind for the poop fairies to collect.
Oh dear. It turned out to be an immobile blackbird.

On my pre-dawn runs orv walks I more than once mistook a piece of trash moved slightly by the wind for an animal. This is the first time I hear about an opposite case.

I was thundering towards a large branch blocking my path. I thought i’d Kick it out the way, but as I got nearer I thought to do so would probably break my toe, as it was a hefty branch. As I bore down the hill it moved? 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳 It was a huge snake. Yep, in North Derbyshire I leapt over it. Nijinsky woulda bin proud 😮.
