After resting my ankle for a week I couldn't stand it any longer and risked a run this morning - what a glorious morning for it by the way - and was pleasantly surprised to find my ankle held up really well, and a managed the run with no problems even though I've somehow lost my headphones so had no distractions.
Small moment of panic when chased by a very large dog and had to stop to let the owner catch and leash it, but that was only about ten seconds and thankfully didn't make my pace out of whack.
I am very sweaty and very pleased with myself! Bring on 10k!

Definitely - I know I'll get bored and give up if I'm not setting myself a challenge. Going to try my first parkrun too, now I know I can probably make it to the end without embarrassing myself.
