Just getting started

Hi All, I’ve just done the first three runs and found I really enjoyed them. Looking forward to week two. Still feel anxious about coping though, I have been a terminally unfit adult so far. Which week have people found most challenging? Week two looks OK?!?

I thought week two looked easier than week one, stepping up from one minute to one and a half doesn’t seem too horrible. Happy running x

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Do check out the link in the guide to mental approach............there is nothing to be anxious about. Asking which is the toughest week is asking for trouble........they are all challenging and all achievable.

Relax and enjoy your journey.

Welcome ! Most runs look scary on paper but are generally survivable once you get out there. Sometimes an individual run will feel awful, but if you can work out why, you learn what to do or not do the next time. Happy running 😀

Yes, my experience so far has been pleasant. I’m waiting for the one that begins to get me. Maybe it never will. Thank you for responding and good luck with your running.

Week one by far! Have a look at the total length of brisk walking and running for each week, there’s no bigger jump than from couch to week 1! You can do this... great start.
