So...here I am, it's been a while since I posted......and even longer since I ran anywhere...I've been rather poorly lately, severe chest infection, been laid up for weeks...and weeks....The good news is, I'm feeling much better, and I'm desperate to get back out there!!
Questions.....Will my body remember how to do it? Will I have to start right at the beginning? (I have a very good friend who wants to go with).....Will my other half ever let me out of the house to go and try (he's worried about me)??.... :/ And last but definitely NOT least, When will I get to try out me swanky new running shoes....I am siting here wearing them...just bedding them in you understand....dear me....

Aw it's a horrible feeling when you can't get out.
Depending on how long its been just see how you feel. Make sure you have a good warm up walk and settle into a gentle pace. Your body will remember more than you think. Just enjoy being out and stop when you feel it's right or slow to a walk for a bit.
Infections can really take it out of you, so maybe take it easy on yourself and start again. Then if you’re finding it easy you can miss the odd run here or there.
That's quite a nice idea Maddee-6333....I think I'll start at the beginning with my friend and see how I go.......if it ends up feeling like I need more I can beef up my Saturday morning run, to make it a bit longer, She won't be with me for that one, OH will be
Be kind to yourself and do it again... many of us have done so, after time on the IC... either all or bits... It is great!
No pressure.. you know what is coming and you know you can do it... and lovely to run with a friend!
Slow and steady and you will be fine; your husband will know you are not on your own, ( they do love us... Mr OF would not let me run after I had Bronchitis until I had not coughed at all... within the space of 48 hrs.. and only then if it was dry! )
Just take it steady and enjoy! Keep posting too please
Yep...slowly does it! This whole thing only started to fall into place when I realised (through all of the advice on here form all you lovely people) that snail pace..is the best pace! So, snail pace it is...maybe even slower......
