First run after injury ... maybe

I graduated 8 weeks ago, but I haven't been able to run for three weeks due to shin splints and then a groin injury from shifting furniture! Had gait analysis done and my new trainers have been staring up at me wondering when I'm going to actually use them.

Decided I feel much better today, so I'm going to at least try the warm up walk, and then see how far I get with running. I doubt I'll manage the whole thirty minutes, but I'd like to get past the twelve minutes I managed before breaking down three weeks ago.

As someone who four months ago did no form of exercise except walking to the shops, I can't believe how much I've missed going out three times a week.

Good luck... hope those shins stay quiet and let you get on with it. Welcome back

Thank you. The shins did stay quiet and I ran for 30 minutes at my normal pace (which is quite slow). However I should probably have stopped after 20 mins as picked up a thigh strain!
