I’ve just done week 2 and will start week 3 on Monday. Thing is I’m already worrying about running for a longer period. Does it get easier or am I worrying unnecessarily

Err... well. You’re worrying unnecessarily!
Running gets easier... the runs get longer though... so the plan remains challenging. The hardest weeks are the early ones though... don’t worry about any run beyond the next run. Don’t even worry about that run, prepare for it, relax before it... you’ll be fine.
Great job on the first two weeks.
Thank you! Deep down I know I’m worrying too much. I’m going back to work Monday after 6 months sick leave and I think I’m worrying about that too! But I’ll start week 3 in the afternoon after my first shift back to work n stop worrying
You’ll be fine at work and fine with the running... W1R1 is by far the biggest jump up in the entire programme... to prove this look at the total length of the workouts throughout the plan! 0 to that first run is the biggest jump you should ever see in a running plan... so you’ve done the super hard week and another one.
It gets easier, honestly.
And you might even find that your runs become the thing that relaxes you after a stressful day at work.
You get stronger... it is as simple as that... if you checked out the post for Newbies...

....there is much good advice there...
Just take each run, each week, slowly and steadily C25K is not about speed... that can follow after Graduation.
It is about a structured build up which you will be fine with...there are no massive jumps.... yes, all runs are different.. they need tot be.. to move us forward...but they are structured...pop in some non-impact exercise as the runs get longer..in some of your rest days.. that will help with strength and stamina
Thanks everyone xx
Well done ! My wife and I are starting week 3 on Sunday too and are taking great encouragement from our fellow C2 5k 'ers ,their experience and advice .To think we had,nt run for some 20 or so years we are also impressed by our own efforts too ,as today we were 1.5 minutes further on from the finishing point of wednesday,s run .So to think we were couch potatoes two weeks ago look how far we,ve come !! You should be proud of your efforts Lesley2606 and keep going , the best is yet to come !!
Nothing is as hard as the first 60 seconds of the first run in my book! The program is v carefully worked out, but you could always repeat a week or a run if you feel the need...
Don't worry about longer runs the plan sets you up for them 😊😊
Admittedly this week was easier than the 1st week
