I think the fact that you've decided to do it shows will power. Advice I may not weigh as much but I'm a 50plus lady who was out of shape. If I can do it......... YOU CAN TOO! Slow and steady just slow and steady breath and if you take a break if you need. I bet you'll surprise yourself. Wishing you good luck.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Have a look at some of ButtercupKid 's inspiring posts. Of course it's harder if you have extra weight but lots of people have done it, and I am sure you will be able to as well. Good Luck :)

Good luck, I just wanted to say I’m a bigger lady (nearly 19 stone) and started it last week after not doing any proper exercise for years, it’s amazing. I’m doing W2R2 tonight and I’m actually looking forward to it, I found the hardest run is the last as you know your nearly done. If you have to have a rest do so because you don’t want to get injured :) I’m doing this for my kids as well, I’ve started eating better and in a week I’ve lost 8lb. I’ve set myself small goals and a big goal. Good luck x

Wow! That’s a great week you had there! Very well done, and now you’re stronger for the next one... you’re inspirational, and that’s only going to grow.

Welcome. Maybe you’re crazy... if not, don’t worry, running will let you find your crazy. You can do this. Take it nice and slowly, there’s no race, no extra benefits for the fastest runners, in fact slow and gentle will develop your running legs and aerobic ability faster and better than running it hard and fast.

You may not find you see any weight loss from running alone... but if you partner it with a good nutrition plan it will be a formidable combination... the health eating will lose the weight and the running will tone you up.

Enjoy your journey.

You’re not crazy! Just brave . I take my hat off to you. The programme won’t make lose weight on its own , but the feeling of achievement you’ll get from doing it will help you take charge of your diet. A lot of people on this forum will be cheering you on, me included. Good luck

You’re being brave, that’s what you’re doing, and good on you for it. Take your time, is the best advice you can get. Doesn’t matter if you can’t jog a step to start with - two-pace walking is a great way to break yourself in. Doesn’t matter if you have to burn out the repeat function. You CAN do this and we’re with you all the way x

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I’ve also joined slimming world so fingers crossed with this and that I will loose the weight. I’ve managed to find someone to do it with me to kick my arse when I need it kicking lol. I really need to get fit now xxx
