What have I done?

Completed the Resolution Run 5k for the Stroke Association in absolutely appalling conditions today. I was on such a high when I got home that I immediately signed up for a 10k on Fathers Day........ I’m no mathematician but I’m pretty sure that it’s approximately double the distance. Pants!

Maths was my worst subject at school, I was good at PE. English (I hope after saying that I don't have too many spelling mistakes on the posts I send on C25K), history and geography, however, yes 10K is definitely double of 5K.

Slow and steady... you can do this... Get over to Bridge to 10K and take a look at the Magic 10.. and.... move away from the chocolate!!!

Wow! You got this!

I’m doing the Manchester 10k in May but as long as I can run 5k of it I will walk the rest 🙈

Well done. You got this. 10k will be fine in those new shoes!

And another thing..... Fathers Day is the only day where I’m entitled to be lazy and get breakfast in bed. This sucks.... but I love it.

Very well done... and your maths is correct! The journey from 5-10 isn’t as tough as 0-5 though! Enjoy that journey.

Youve got it wrong K8nno. 10k is not 2 times as long as 5k.

The biggest step you took as a runner was the first one in C25K so in truth 10k is just a little bit added on😳

All the very best

Yes!! Congratulations!!! We get to the end of the first 5K and ask ourselves: "can I do this all over again? Hell, yes!!!" The big battle is to get to the starting line, the rest, it's a walk in the park. What about the atmosphere on this kind of event? It's not that quite something? And the ripple effect. All those people who had a laugh because we were so crazy, now they want to go running with us because they see how good we feel and...they want the medals too!! That's the cherry on the cake.
