Week 8 completed😊

Hello everyone,

I managed the third run of Week 8 this morning. Strangely, it was the hardest of this week's runs .... may be because of the cold air which is such a shock to the lungs at the start and there was a headwind.

So I can't say, I enjoyed it a lot whilst running - but felt fine once it was over😊.

Unbelievably, Week 9 beckons!

Hiya i completed week 8 run 3 yesterday as well strangely for me the first 10 minutes is the hardest, maybe because it's uphill LOL or that could just be a co-incidence. Week 9 Run 1 tomorrow i'm hoping to "work from home" i.e. do the run at a sensible time rather than in the dark. I just slow down a bit if things get tough, that was my biggest mistake going to fast. As soon as i find my rhythm (usually a slow steady jog), then it all comes together. It's worth it though isn't it the best feeling when you have achieved the time. My distance app said i did 4.5 k so i'm hopeful of getting to the 5k sometime during week 9. Good Luck with Week 9 Yourself hope you enjoy.

I had a not so good run yesterday too. Sometimes it is just like that for no discernible reason. As you know, you still feel better for having done it. Just concentrate on getting your 3x30 mins in to finish the programme. All nice and slow and relaxed. You can think about picking up pace/ distance later and you will get loads of help from people here when you are ready to do that. Nearly there 😊

You are only a week away from your shiny badge yourself. Bit of consolidation and a crack at building up to 10k then? 5 to 10 is easier than 0-5. Look out for Ju-ju’s plan in Bridge to 10🏃🏻‍♂️

Ha, ha! Will do ... but 10 looks like a very distant possibility from this perspective. But never say never!

Did to me! But build it up gradually and you will be fine. If I can do it at 67 .,,,,,

Amazing achievement. It seems unbelievable to me what can be achieved on the programme and I so hope this will be me in a few weeks!
