I have to admit I wasn’t looking forward to running in the rain, but it was ok! And so, so much better than the treadmill. The time very almost flew by on the pavement and if it wasn’t for the camber of it annoying my right leg I’d have really enjoyed it.
I’ve decided to change my running routine and do my runs outside then go to the gym later on to do other exercises, I’ve had it with the treadmill for now. This afternoon I’m going to get my gait analysed to sort this right leg out then hopefully I will fly through Week 9 (well, maybe not fly but it will be a tad easier).
And to top it all, I appear to run faster outside. I didn’t speed up once (sorry Jo, not with these inclines) but including walks I did just under 6km, so I’m feeling very chuffed with myself 😁😁😁
9 weeks ago I could hardly run for a minute, my son was shocked at how slowly I ran and now I’m a week off graduating! And so far (*touch wood*) I haven’t had any of the major mishaps I was expecting (after having two children, I think you’ll understand!) which is what stopped me running in the first place. This programme has done exactly what I hoped it would do, thank you 😊😊😊
