Hi
Just completed W3 but finding my knees and ankles feel really stiff. I'm hobbling in between runs and taking paracetamol. They do ease up towards the end of the session.
Is this normal ?
I have never done any running before.
TIA

Got my gait checked and appropriate running shoes before starting. Just completed the programme with no injury peons- well only a self inflicted one. Might be worth checking out if it can help.
Where did you get your gait checked ?
Any recommendations for trainers / running shoes.
Thanks
Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Do all you can to minimise the impact........slow down, avoid heelstriking, keep footfall under your body not out in front, run on grass or treadmill, wear proper running shoes fitted after a gait analysis done at a specialist running shop. Stretch after every run and do strengthening exercises.
Sounds like you’re maybe going at it too hard and fast ? Slow down just a little, and if you can run on softer surfaces like grass or hardcore rather than tarmac or paving, that may well help. You may find walking around barefoot in the house helps with the aching. All the best with it x
