Managed Week 3, Run 1 successfully this morning. I was not helped by my music ‘shuffle’ function selecting “Walk Like a Man” half way through my first 3 minute run (this is not a lousy joke - it did actually happen). Still it gave me something to ponder on during the rest of the run. The 3 minute runs weren’t too bad and easier than expected!

I'm just singing that in my head now, and it sounds perfect for a nice slow run, which is all you want to be doing. When I started out I used this website songbpm.com to check the beats per minute of the songs I liked so that I was motivated to keep up with the rhythm of the music. The right music does make all the difference to me, and sometimes I manage to run to the end of a song even past the end of the 'official' run time - Wigwam Bam by The Sweet often seems to crop up towards the end of a run and that helps push me on for a few seconds more.
