Back to week 6

Tried to continue wk7 run 2 after a week off with a heavy cold. It just wasn’t happening so turned it into run 6:2 instead. I guess I’ve benefited as I got out in the fresh air and ran for 10 minutes twice. 2 weeks behind now 😞

Good run and good call finding the run you’re up to... illness can take a lot out of us.

I do, however, beg to differ... you’re not 2 weeks behind, you’re 6/7 weeks ahead... this is life changing stuff, there’s no time limit.

Well done on your 2 x10 minutes coming straight off a heavy cold. I had to take time off during my training for the same reason. Stepping back a week or two makes little difference in the end. There's no rush. You'll get there when you're ready. Keep at it.

Always remember the First Rule of C25k: The only run you fail is the run you don’t go for ! You’re doing great and you’ll soon get to where you want to be. We’re all proud of you for persevering x

Don't worry, there's no time limit on the programme. It took me six months to graduate for various reasons but it got done and I'm still running.

Very well done for getting back to it 💪💪

All been said really. I got up to 9k in September but then lost two weeks because of a virus/ chest cold. I just started the build up again when I was well and I am now back to the same point with one difference; I am much stronger this time around. The extra build up and between run strengthening exercises( which you can still do with a cold) have really made a difference. So an apparent setback can be turned into a benefit. Just keep enjoying your runs😊

Reassured to learn I'm not then only one to regress after couple of weeks not running! Important thing is to draw line, forgive yourself (weird but works!) & go again! Good luck.

Well done for keeping at it! You will be a stronger runner from repeating your earlier runs! 😸
