Anyone else find week 6 really hard? I’ve just done run 2 and found it just as hard as run 1. This is the first time I’ve had 2 successive runs I’ve struggled with and it’s starting to dent my confidence a bit! I only started settling into the run probably in the last 5mins! They were only 10 min runs today and it’s made me dead nervous that the 25 mins on Thursday is gonna be a mammoth task!

Week 6 struggke
Found it so hard I couldn’t even type struggle!! 😂😂😂
My guess is you are just going too fast. Plan to shuffle the whole way. Think of old ladies with zimmer frames going faster than you. Also perhaps a little extra warm up -- longer and brisker. You'll be OK.
*sigh* same. My week 6 run 3 is tomorrow. Not looking forward to it.
I honestly felt the 20min run easier than the last 2! I think we are going to be pleasantly surprised with run 3 as we will be allowed to get into a proper rhythm without having to stop xx
Yup, I prefer the running without the walk sessions now. Get 25 mins of funky tunes downloaded (if you're listening to your own music) and go for it. I opted for stuff I liked in school (ELO etc) as it reminded me of days when I was young and not such a cronk.
Week 6 famously catches a lot of folk out, it did me, so you’re in very good company, there must be hundreds of us who struggled a bit.
Best advice there is comes from Oldfloss which is to take it slow and steady, find your happy pace and really slow it down to do the runs. The 25 Minutes one is doable, just like the famous 20 Minutes one was. It’s just a matter of pacing yourself.
Best of luck with that and happy running
You've got to W6, well done!
Just my opinion but I think those first two W6 runs are hard for 2 reasons. 1, you've run for 20 mins so your sub conscious thinks you've cracked this running lark. and 2, the dreaded toxic ten has kicked in but you don't have time to run through it.
So ... next run, just put on your running shoes and keep running till your coach says stop. Slow, slow, slow is the way forward. Simples!
YOU CAN DO IT ... Good Luck!
p.s. My understanding of 'toxic ten' is those first 10 mins of a run when the body is adapting to a faster pace and enough oxygenated blood hasn't quite got round to where it's needed.
I found Week 6 run 1 and 2 tricky. After that it was fine. Keep positive and I’m sure Run 3 will be much smoother 😀
