Why does week 6 go back to shorter intervals again?

Just curious as to whether anyone knew why week 6 run 1 seems to be a step back. I get run 2 but thought there would be another 20min before the 25min. Obviously the programme works just wondered why. Hmmm.

If you feel you want another 20 min run repeat that week they have this on the page!

Its a good question and I think when you get to the longer runs with no breaks you will realise that this is good tactics to go back to shorter runs. It was for me a confidence builder which prepared me for the longer runs. Good luck for the rest of the program, just about there now. :)

No idea really but I've just started bridge to 10k and that takes me back to intervals too (4x10mins) so there must be something good about them!
