I canβt believe I can now run 30mins continuously without feeling like Iβm about to cough my lungs out or have my legs in pain for days after. My last run was slow and I only managed to clock in 4.34km but I felt great at the end of the run and felt I could have gone on for longer. So I am confident that I will be able to claim the coveted 5km after another few weeks of consolidation runs. Might also mix things up with some pace/ speed training and running at another park (since Iβm quite bored with the usual park now lol) to keep things interesting.
After the last two months of being on C25k Iβm still not sure that running is truly enjoyable for me. The actual running can still feel like hell at most times but it makes me feel so great afterwards that Iβm a real running addict now. And my friends are probably quite fed up with me going on about how great the C25k programme is π
Thank you to everyone here for all your encouragement and positive vibes. Very happy to have joined this wonderful community

Congratulations! Hopefully along with consolidation you can also start to enjoy running as itβs happening, I think that as the plan pushes you to go longer and longer it stays very challenging and so not everyone gets that enjoyment as theyβre becoming a runner. Consolidation is all about making it comfortable and soon youβll be ready to go bag that 5k. 4.34k is very good too, thatβs sub 35 minute 5k pace which would be very respectable for someone with a few months running experience. Enjoy celebrating and your future running journeys.
Congratulations π Achy4days on completing C25K and graduating π with week 9 run 3. Consolidation runs are important on your goal for a sub 35 minute or sub 30 minute 5K.

Congratulations! It's a great feeling to graduate. But I'm in the same boat as you, I don't enjoy the running. I often find my self checking the time and thinking how slow its passing while I run. However, what I do enjoy it the sense of accomplishment after each run. That sense of accomplishment keeps me looking forward to each run.
I've also found some good podcasts and new places to run keeps me from getting too bored.
Hopefully before long we will both start to enjoy the actual running
