Intervals are over! 😲

Just completed R2 of W6 and I'm amazed I've got this far. Feels strange to have done the last of intervals! Any advice for finishing off this week? I found today's 2 sets of 10 (with a 3 min walk) hard but doable, and some parts easier than others. I seem to have learned a lot about how to control my pace and breathing though when I'm finding it a struggle. It's so amazing how far you can come in this plan in such a short space of time, it's been a revelation!

If you can do W5R3 then the rest should fall into place. I enjoy it more now without the stopping and starting. Take it slow. I go slow enough for the breathing not to be an issue. Just a gentle jog. Hardly break sweat πŸ‘Œ

Thanks Gordon, slow and steady does seem to be the way!

Hi Stacey! Well done on coming this far - I'm just one run ahead of you and, like you, amazed at how far we can come in such a short space of time. I idid the last run of week 6 on Thursday (and am about to go out today for W7R1). To be honest, I found the last run of week 6 easier than the previous 2 with intervals (no-one more surprised than me!) so be prepared to be pleasantly surprised! Good luck with your next run!

The only advice you need is just keep running!

Seriously, you've got this far so just remember 'slow and steady' and you'll be fine.

Well done for getting to W6, keep up the good work ... happy running!

Thanks so much - slow and steady is one of my mantras for sure as well as "even a bad run is a good run"

Great job. Next run is just like the 20... slow, steady and don’t stop! You can do it.

Take it steady. If you start to get tired slow down a bit until you recover. Remember to breath deeply. Well done - I'm only one in front. I've was supposed to do run w7r1 today but wine got the better of me last night and haven't got the legs for it today. You will amaze yourself and feel such an achievement after it. Have a good run and I hope you had a good birthday πŸŽ‰

Thanks Ditzyjack - I know the feeling about running after a heavy wine night! I'm finding I'm making time for running around my social and work plans now and it's becoming as important to me as those things which is just great. And thank you very much, I had a fantastic birthday - my boyfriend proposed to me! So even more reason to get fit now! :) best of luck to you with week 7.

Wow! Popped in to catch up on people's running progress and saw that your boyfriend proposed! Congratulations! But remember - you need to *walk* down the aisle. Jogging just seems a bit too keen! :-)
