I have done all of the runs like clockwork every week and NOW with only 2 runs to go to graduate I've hurt my heel and can't finish - so frustrating and disappointing. Every day I think maybe it will be better but I think I'm actually going to have to see my GP. It's not plantar fasciitis (i've had had that before) I think it's from when I stood, barefoot, on a stone a couple of weeks ago. It was very painful at the time but went away - or so I thought. I'm taking solace that I did do one 30 minute run and even if I have to repeat a couple of weeks I WILL graduate. π©π’π
Week 9 - NO NO NO π²: I have done all of the... - Couch to 5K
Week 9 - NO NO NO π²
Oh no !!!! What a shame, you must feel so disappointed. But your injury needs to be checked out. Letβs hope itβs not to serious. As your nearly at the end of this programme but your grad can wait until you can run pain free. Wishing you a speedy recovery Emceejay.
That's a pity As you say you know you can run for 30 minutes (and you've also done 3 x 28 minutes and 4 x 25 minutes). Hopefully you won't be out too long: if it's less than a fortnight or so you won't have lost any condition and won't need to repeat anything.
Hope you get it sorted out soon. Wise decision to rest and recover rather than push on and end up with a worse injury.
We'll keep the run warm for you and your place on the podium now has a big "Reserved" sign on it with an extra helping of cake for being a trooper
Oh no!! I feel for you - hope it gets better quickly! Could you keep up your aerobic fitness some other way eg swimming or cycling in the meantime?
Ooof, terrible, I'm sorry.
In my world, you've done it. You did it. You can run 30 minutes. It isn't a one-off or fluke.
I know that the last two runs are psychologically important to you. Of course. But you seriously did it!
I hope you're on the mend soon so you can "officially" finish.
Get it checked, cross train however you can and look after the injury, then come back even more determined and nail the end of the plan.
