Done it !!!

I started C25K back in May and after a few hiccoughs along the way graduated in October. Since then I had a few problems in keeping the motivation going and putting too much pressure on myself to 'improve.

Thanks to good advice from fellow runners on this forum I relaxed and decided to Run for Fun and delighted to say I managed my longest run this morning.......the magical 5km.....yes I did it !!! Clocked a time of just over 40 minutes so longest duration run as well and I wasn't collapsing at the end. Have to say I did feel quite chuffed as I wasn't expecting to do that distance when I set out, and it was fun!!

Can't praise C25K enough, it's changed my life for the better and I am excited about doing my first Park run in Folkestone with my 26 year old son on Saturday.

Happy running everybody!🏃‍♂️👍

Thanks......my son is a regular runner up in Norwich so it's going to be a strange feeling running with him. My other son is home from Budapest over Xmas.....so all three of us might even go for a run during the xmas celebrations, and that will be a first as well!

I’ll be doing that park run in a few weeks once I’m able to run a bit longer 😊

And well done 👍
