Good morning everyone, firstly I've just got back from my W2R1 and I did it!!!! I took an inhaler before I left a nd took it with me on the run. I didnt need it!

It was hard but doable andI I'm amazed at myself. But, I'm a bit unsure about the last 5 minutes . What do you do after the final run ? I just walk but is that right?

Yes, that’s right - it’s the same warmdown as in week 1. Well done for getting through it ⭐️

Congrats on starting your 2nd week! And great that you didn't need your inhaler while you were going round. The last 5 minutes after your final run is always a brisk 'warm-down' walk, and it's important to do that walk so that your muscles don't get cold and seize up. Enjoy your runs for the rest of the week!

Thank you for your advice. It really helps get through the challenge when you get the great support from everyone on here. It was so lovely running around the park in the sunshine compared to my night time runs around the streets. I was being lapped by a seasoned runner which made me a bit self conscious but you have to start somewhere don't you?

Hey, I've been overtaken by a toddler (well, you know they have bursts of energy, and I was coming to the end of an 8-minute run!) and today there was an older couple walking very briskly about 20 yards ahead of me and I couldn't even catch them up! But at the moment it's about building stamina and endurance, it's not about speed, so don't worry about that - there will always be someone faster, but there will always be someone slower as well - you just can't see the slower ones because they're behind you :-)

Great job. Yes, just walk... stopping dead can cause feinting and the likes. Stretches after too.
