Ankle deep,
Vision blurring,
Hail beating,
Rain.
Drops pound and crackle
On my hood
It rustles and crackles
A storm of its own.
Feet pound and splash;
Centre of the foot
Makes contact ...
With water.
Breath gasps
A down pipe gushes
A laugh gurgles
Drains spew water.
To shelter or to run?
Keep warm or chill ?
One foot in front of the other,
Traffic slows
Walkers disappear
Forecast watchers!
Hail slows
Darkness brightens
Hair drips
Shoes soaked;
Still I glow
💦💦💦💦

Lovely. It sums up the madness, and the joy!

Wonderful! Now there’s a run I want to go on... bring on the storm!

Hah! Another strange breed of cat that enjoys the rain!
Although it is more enjoyable with waterproof socks. My favourite running gear experiment! 😸

I could see this fitting the rhythm of a jog. Saying it over and over whilst breaking down those mental barriers
