Here as promised is the face (and body - we got rather carried away!) paint for our Spooky Sprint this evening (I'm on the left, sporting a subtle and tasteful hair accessory or two... Cannot believe my pound shop glittery flowers with hair grips lasted 10k!)
Massive thanks to those of you who donated, and/or gave me encouragement. It was a lovely run and really moving as well - lots of people running in memory of someone, lots of names/photos on people's shirts, and halfway round the lake when I looked back, there was a river of white light right round the water from people's head torches and it was a beautiful, hopeful thing to see. Gorgeous.

I'd really recommend it and it's for Parkinson's UK, which is a brilliant cause. You should all have a go! The calibrate of dressing up was pretty high 😀
Yep - I was massively impressed at the level of effort people made for the Halloween run I did. I just couldn't believe the type of outfits people were actually running in. That said, there were lots of abandoned masks and wigs en route. I had much respect for the girl running near me in a Thriller Werewolf PVC jacket and mask!!!!
Thanks all. It really was a joy! Bittersweet, especially for my friend who lost her father in law to Parkinson's earlier in the year, but really good fun and nice to feel as if we were doing something constructive as well as just being sad. Donations are still open here justgiving.com/ginaandamyru... if anyone fancied sending Parkinson's UK a few quid, or keep an eye on their website for other events and get involved directly - it was well organised and brilliant fun.
