Horrendus weather.... running hiatus

Seriously - hail storms (in Portugal) - so big that we made a slushy puppy from the ice taken off (our very clean) car!

So having given myself my first extra rest day (when it was just 'raining') due to achilles pain, I'm now kicking my heels and getting very frustrated... I never thought I would wish I had a treadmill!

There you go primaballerina, people go to Portugal for better weather from the UK and the hailstones in Portugal are bigger than the hail we had in the UK last Tuesday, I hope the weather will improve soon and let you get outside for your running.

Can't really complain had my first 6 weeks of running in perfect conditions... sometimes even a little 'hot'!!!!

I did a run in the hail and rain which I actually found quite a relaxing experience, certainly not unpleasant.

The sun peaked out and I went out and ran (nicely wrapped up)... and it was very hard, then it started raining (not hailing) on the way back.

The dogs were outraged, and kept shaking water off their ears... I was just fighting my mental battle to carry on for my full 25 minutes... I WON!

Well done you. Every victory is so important. Even if the dogs aren’t impressed!

I swear the dogs were looking at me asking me to go faster so we could get to the car quicker... obviously I could have stopped running to walk quicker, but that would have been cheating!

I’m not a fan of hail either... but looking on the bright side, your legs will be good and fresh for your run.

Hail not so good, but I did go, and just got a bit wet at the end - leg not feeling too bad!
