I was so brave last night and actually joined a local running club!!! Still can’t believe I did it! It was a beginners club but they certainly do not seem like beginners many have been running for years! They were so welcoming though and very happy to accept me and adapt the runs to my level. They were on the running track last night and the coach stayed at the back to run with me with lots of encouragement. I did pretty darn well to keep my pace and he encouraged me to pick it up on my last lap. We also did some sprints which I have no experience of at all but enjoyed. I think this club will help me to improve as a runner long term and to keep my running interesting. At the moment it enables me to run at night in a group too which is much safer.
I still have three runs to go to graduate C25k I’m planning on doing my next runs Thursday and Saturday then have a break for running club and to then graduate next week.
Feeling inspired!

Great decision HomeEdMum42. I am thinking of joining the local park run club, but I am only at week 3, so will give it a little longer before I embarrass myself or overdo it too soon.
