Well week 4 in the bag 👌Can’t really believe it!! But can I ask why is the first run the hardest! Can never get the breathing going and struggle! Then the last 5 minute seemed like a walk in the park!

Good job. You’re looking at a phenomenon known as the “toxic 10” where the first few minutes of a run are the hardest as your body doesn’t know what’s hit it... this is why athletes come to the track on the TV having already done some jogging around the practice track.

My body still hates the fist 0.5km of every run, then I settle into the run and enjoy it. I think one of the things we learn as runners is to hold out for that lovely feeling that comes later in a run.
