Week 7 First Run

Well I have to say I really enjoyed that run today.

As it was a straight 25 minute run, I decided to go out the old railway path and see where I ended up, even though it meant I would have to walk all the way back home.

It took me passed the old train station at the next village. In fact when I got there I still had 5 minutes to run so I kept going and when Jo said, "That's it you can walk for 5mi minutes." I turned round and finished the workout at the end of old station.

This meant I could finish the C25K here and get some refreshments at the shop before walking home.

I am really starting to look forward to the next run and even the next 2 weeks challenges before I graduate.

This blogging makes a lot of fun as well and your encouragement is amazing.

Good Luck with your runs this week.

After completing C25K on 30 November I have a ParkRun in Richmond on 15 December. Then serious preparations will need to start for walking the West Highland Way at the beginning of July next year. A 96 mile treck through Glencoe over 6 or 7 days.

Well done BlueCal. I also enjoyed weeks 7 and 8 although for some unexpected reason I found w7r2 the toughest of the lot, just one of those things. I also agree that this community is great for support, advice and motivation. Enjoy your runs through to graduation!!

Week 6 First Run was my worst. I don't want to experience that again.

There’s mad, there’s batshit crazy, and then there’s runner. I believe your coach conferred the title of runner on you already 😂

Well done. Lovely Autumnal picture. I’m enjoying running with the changing season. Sounds like you’re enjoying running too. Not long until graduation now 🙂

I have surprised myself at how much I am enjoying running now. I much prefer the long runs than the interval ones.

As you say, not long till Graduation; 30 November. Then a ParkRun at Richmond, London on 15 December.

I can't wait ;-)

Good luck for both. I’ve done one park run and really enjoyed it 🙂

They are great, because They are normally in the level, no hills. Quite looking forward to the next 8 runs. Glad to be away from the intervals, but it has all been good progress.

Hope your runs go well too. Be good to hear how your railway run goes.
