Pulsating/twitching/throbbing in thigh

I've been having a pulsating/throbbing/twitch in my left thigh all day (today is my rest day)

It's painless, but very annoying. I can actually see my leg twitching. Could this be due to running? I'm on W4R2

Should I worry or has this happened to others?

If it continues, perhaps get it checked by a doctor, not sure if you should continue to run, that's up to you if the twitching is not too much.

It's my run day tomorrow. I'm hoping by tomorrow it's gone. If it hasn't I will go and see a doctor. I think if it's still there in the morning I will not run tomorrow :(

This is not good for my health anxiety

Are you stretching? Try foam rolling it out if you have one.

Foam rolling?

I must admit I do my 5 min warm down walk and no other stretches. It's only in the left leg...I'm just a massive worrier and now I'm concerned. Although, for a change Dr. Google isn't giving me the worst case sinario...lol!

Get a foam roller! Cheap and effective 👌🏽

If you haven’t got a roller just give it a massage. Don’t worry I’m sure it will be okay 😊

Thanks for your reply. I'm just a worrier. I've had a bath and gave it a massage. Seems to have stopped for now...and hopefully forever.

I thought about it and I'm not going to let it stop me doing my run tomorrow. It's not painful and I can't let little excuses get in the way, if I do, before long I'll be making all kinds of excuses not to do my runs!

Thank you for the reassurance :)

You’re welcome- and yes go for the run and take it slow and steady then you’ll be okay 🙌

You’re exercising muscles that maybe haven’t been used to it. These sensations are a sign your body is taking notice I got all sorts of jerky leg going’s-on. I called it “electric legs”

Always take your rest day. two if needs be 🙂👍

See how it goes Always rest and evaluate 🙂

That makes sense. I do always take my test days and luckily the twitching in my leg wasn't painful. It's stopped at some point last night and so far hasn't returned. Just about to go for my run now, so will see if it returns on my rest day tomorrow...hopefully not!

Thanks for your reply :)

Just go really steady.

Try and walk more if you’re not already doing so. Being more mobile in general is good 👍
