I know the rest days are important for rest and recovery etc etc but everytime I have a rest day after a really good run (week five day 1 last night and I smashed it) I feel twitchy to get out again! is this normal behaviour?

Don't do it , this is when most injury happens. I did it once, because I felt so good about my run and hurt my leg and couldn't run for a week after that...So I say don't do it have your rest day or try Stretching which is important.

Don't run, especially this early on in your running. Doesn't mean to say you can't exercise though, do some cycling, swimming, gym class, zumba, walking just not running. Those muscles need to recovery and will love you for treating them properly. :)

I often feel the same! It's frustrating! But the rest days are vital - I've just started doing some workout videos at home on my rest days so I can get my exercise fix!!!!! LOL - never thought I would say that!

Yes, totally normal :0)

Yes! I feel like you do, but I try to do a walk or cycle ride. I wonder if it's my brain seeking out more of the happy hormones! ;)
