I have the BRAC 2 gene and have had a mastectomy and full hysterectomy to give me the best chance at a long and health life but realised that despite having major surgery I haven’t got my backside up off the couch and am so unfit - it dawned on me how ridiculous this was. So here I am on day two and it was easier than day one - just 😂

What a brave woman you are, the decision to have those operations and the recovery afterwards must have been challenging. You are right to get fit too to avoid other illnesses like heart disease and diabetes etc, but the other benefit is you will feel great, I have found running to be mentally healthy as well as physically. Good luck on your journey, xx
